How it works

  1. Sign the agreement

    An authorised representative of the school accepts the data processing agreement. That opens a free 30-day trial — no card, nothing to cancel.

  2. Teachers set the work

    From a ready-made template or their own, using the department’s rubrics and comment banks. Anything a teacher built on a free account before this comes straight across.

  3. Students join

    They join with their teacher’s class link. That creates their account and adds them to the class in one step.

  4. Pilot it for the school year

    At the end of the thirty days, carry on for 2026/27 at the pilot rate. Everything already in it stays where it is.

Questions a school asks

Is this a school management system?

No. It is not here to replace your school management system — attendance, timetables and reports stay where they are.

What it does is standardise coursework across the school: the same stages, the same rubrics and the same authentication record in every subject, instead of every teacher working it out on their own.

What happens at the end of the year?

Closing a year group happens in four steps.

Writing stops. Students are emailed, and get a window to download their own copy — including anything they kept private. Then a grace period, where nothing has been deleted yet. Then the year group is destroyed.

Nothing is ever destroyed automatically. Destroying a year group has to be typed out by name, and is refused until its credit table has been downloaded.

How do students get accounts?

From their teacher’s class join link.

Does our school’s IT administrator need to do anything?

Just a once-off permission for handing up files from OneDrive or Google Drive. The steps are here: allowing cloud uploads.

Can a teacher try it before the school signs anything?

Yes. A teacher can build everything on a free account — rubrics, comment banks, project templates, projects and assignments — and practise marking on a demo submission before any student is involved.

Real classes need the school’s 30-day trial, which opens when an authorised representative accepts the agreement. Everything a teacher built first carries straight over when they do.
