A portfolio built around the four Student Dimensions and their developmental indicators, so the year's evidence gathers itself instead of being reassembled in May.
Turning this on adds the TY portfolio to your account. If nobody at your school has claimed it yet, you're set up straight away.
One step. This creates the year group, a join link to send your students, and a starting set of reflection points you can change.
You'll get a link to send to your TY students. Following it creates their account and puts them in the year group — students can't sign up any other way.
Not the right person? I don't coordinate Transition Year — this only hides the tab, and frees the role so a colleague can take it.
When students are prompted to reflect. Change any of these or add more to suit your calendar.
The colleagues running this year group alongside the coordinator. They see how everyone is getting on, read the reflections students chose to share, enter credits and pull the reports. They can't set the year up, close it, or change who else is in this group.
Send this to colleagues who need to read what students publish. They can open each student and read their published reflections, diaries and goals, and nothing else: no credits or reports. To give someone more, add them by name below. Only teachers with your school's email address can use the link, and you'll see everyone who joins here. A new link stops the old one working.
They're emailed when you add them.
These apply to everyone in the year group.
Reflections already written keep the model they were written in.
Students are emailed and prompted to download their own copy first. Before you can delete anything, you'll be asked to download the year group's credit table — that downloaded file is the school's record. Nothing is kept here afterwards.
Not running TY any more? Remove Transition Year from my account — this hides the TY tab and lets a colleague be set up as coordinator. Nothing in the year group is deleted.
Your reflections. Each one says what you did and what it shows about you.
Notes, photos and files you've saved to write about later.
First aid, safePass, driving theory, Gaisce, a short course — anything you were awarded this year. Your teachers can see these. Add the certificate itself if you have it; you don't have to.
